About Linda
Current works are in oils where I construct abstracts with palette knives, brushes and other miscellaneous tools. Sometimes I start with an idea and it ends where I hope it will, but other times the painting takes over and it goes in an entirely different direction.
As a graphic designer prior to the computer age, I started with a technical pen designing and producing logos. From there I moved onto realistic watercolors and oils until turning to abstracts in recent years.
I enjoyed courses in drawing and painting at the college level while completing a degree in Marketing Communications. My studies continued with independent classes in color techniques and oil painting. As an adjunct faculty member for five years, I taught Advertising Design and Production at Metropolitan State University in St. Paul, MN.
Commission Projects
I enjoy working with clients to learn both what they like and do not like in their project. A multitude of ideas and samples are discussed to help the client visualize the finished work.
